At - Home HIV Testing
At-home HIV testing is an easy and discreet way to test. We are glad you have decided to take a step in knowing your status!
How to make an appointment:
-
Email Missel De Leon at info@aas-c.org to set up a virtual counseling session to walk you through the testing process.
-
You will have to provide your full name, mailing address, a reliable phone number, and a valid email address to the Prevention Specialist.
-
You will be required to fill out an online form with personal information. A link will be provided to you during the sign-up process.
How to test:

The following are some instructions to help you through the home testing process. Please read them carefully before taking the test.
-
It is important not to eat, drink, or use dental products (toothpaste, mouthwash etc.) 30 minutes before taking the test.
-
You must remove dentures or other dental appliances (retainers, clear aligners etc.) before swabbing gums.
-
Swab each of your gums only once! Too much swabbing can lead to a false result.
-
Make sure you are in a well-lit area so you can see the results properly.
After you complete the HIV test there is a 20-minute waiting period for results to develop. You will stay on the zoom call during this time to discuss your results with your counselor.
