Red
Ribbon License Plate is Here.
Order yours today.
The
long-awaited and anxiously-sought “Red
Ribbon” AIDS Awareness license plate is
now going to become a reality!
After the Alliance receives 300
applications and checks for $25 (or $55
for personalized), the DMV
will produce and mail out the plates,
and I hope that many of us will be
driving around with them. I am excited
that North Carolina is only one of a
small handful of states who has such a
plate, and I’m looking forward to using
this new venue to remind the public that
AIDS is not over.

Since its inception in
1991, more than 3,200
pieces of artwork have
been purchased by Works
of Heart patrons. This
year the auction will
surpass $1,000,000 in
total sales, and with
the additional support
of our financial
partners, 100% of the
proceeds from your
contributions provide
valuable funding to the
Alliance of AIDS
Services-Carolina (AAS-C)
and its programs
providing direct care,
housing, education,
prevention and faith
ministries.

Host
an Evening with Friends Pool Party, Barbecue or
Picnic!
Summertime means cookouts, pool parties and garden
soirees, and the Alliance hopes you will turn your
fabulous summer event into an Evening With Friends
party! Of course, you can hold an Evening With
Friends party any time of year, but please consider
holding a party this summer to help us meet the ever
growing need for our services to persons living with
HIV/AIDS. Since 1991, Evening With Friends has
raised over one million dollars to support the
Alliance and its programs. This year, party hosts
will receive two complimentary tickets to your
choice of our Works of Heart benefit art auction in
the Fall of 2007, or one of our Drag Bingo events
held throughout the year. Can’t cook? House a
wreck? Consider an Evening Out With Friends at an
area restaurant you think would be willing to
designate a portion of the night’s receipts to the
Alliance. Our staff stands ready to assist and
provide support for your event. Please call John
Paul Womble or Katie Stuart at 834-2437 to discuss
how we can help you with your party or to register
your event. |
